The internet,
unfiltered.

Your connection should not be throttled, metered, or quietly censored to "protect" you. Unfilter VPN gives you an exit outside all of it — unlimited data, no speed cap, and an address in a country that is not filtering what you are allowed to read.

Unlimited

No data allowance, no monthly quota, no counter that stops you mid-download. Use it as your normal connection rather than saving it for when you need it.

No speed limit

Nothing in the client throttles you. Links up to 10 Gbit/s, so what you get is whatever your own line and the exit node can carry — pick the lowest-latency one and it stays out of the way.

No government filter

Online child-safety laws increasingly mean age checks, blocklists and whole sites disappearing for adults too. Exit through a country that has not legislated the open internet away.

And it is built to be honest about it

An unfiltered connection is worth nothing if the client only claims to be connected.

Verified exit node

Most clients report success the moment an adapter appears. This one compares your address before and after, and refuses to claim protection when they match — so it cannot lie to you about being connected.

Kill switch armed first

nftables on Linux, Windows Filtering Platform on Windows — installed before the tunnel comes up rather than after, so there is no window in which traffic escapes on the physical interface.

Measured, never guessed

Every server is latency-tested in about three seconds, with each probe pinned to your real network interface so the figures describe the network rather than the tunnel's own loopback.

Split tunnelling

Send one application through the VPN and leave everything else alone, or the exact reverse, matched by process name.

Watchdog failover

If the link dies it redials inside the same country — never silently relocating you, and never back into the node that just failed.

Native on both platforms

One codebase, a real window on each system, tray icon and start-at-login. Ships as a Windows installer, an AppImage and a shell installer.

Light on the machine

93 MB installed on Windows; 18 MB on Linux, because the AppImage uses the system's own web view instead of shipping a browser. No service, no scheduled task, no background updater — close it and nothing of ours keeps running.

A portable build that really is

Unzip and run. Settings, your access key and the logs live beside the executable rather than in a system folder, so it runs from a USB stick and leaves the machine as it found it — no installer, nothing to uninstall.

It says what actually went wrong

When a connect fails it names the cause instead of blaming the server. If another VPN is holding your default route it says which one — and it only makes that accusation when the route really is held elsewhere.

Access

One key is your whole account. No email address, no password, nothing to leak. Both tiers are unlimited and uncapped — what you pay for is reach, and right now you are not paying for it.

Free

Included with any key
  • Unlimited data, no speed cap
  • Exits in 15 countries
  • Whole-device routing, kill switch, split tunnelling
  • No device limit — one key, all your own computers
Create a key
Until 1 January 2027 every new key is created with All servers, at no cost. Nothing expires in between and there is nothing to cancel. After that date keys fall back to the free servers, on the same key — you never re-install or re-register anything.

Download

Version —. You will need an access key to sign in — create one if you have not yet.

Install from the terminal

The usual way. One command, nothing to choose.
$ curl -fsSL https://vpn.opik.net/install | sh

Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora, RHEL, Arch, CachyOS, openSUSE, Alpine, Void and Gentoo on x86-64, ARM64, ARMv7 or RISC-V. Detects the distribution and installs the right dependencies. Remove it later with curl -fsSL https://vpn.opik.net/uninstall | sh

Or download a file

Pick a build for your system.

Verifying what you downloaded

Both installers check the payload against the published hash automatically. To check a file you fetched by hand:
# Linux sha256sum unfiltervpn-*.AppImage # Windows PowerShell Get-FileHash .\UnfilterVPN-Setup.exe -Algorithm SHA256

Every hash is listed beside its download above and in latest.json.

Service administration

Inspect accounts, grant and revoke access, and rotate the shared credential.
